Master’s Degree – Master’s degree programs can require as few as 30 credit hours to complete, but they also include mandated practicum experience. The amount of experience involved depends on the school. In these programs, you’ll learn about topics like communicating with ASD students, positive behavior support, and how to help with life skills and transitions. Those who graduate have a better chance of getting into a career involving autistic children.

Certificate Programs – If you already have a master’s degree or greater in a special education or general educational field, you don’t need to get all of the credit hours and practicum experience needed for another master’s.
